Stakeholder Meeting Held Within the PADRION Project

Public Institution Development Agency of Lika-Senj County - LIRA held a joint meeting with relevant stakeholders where activities and future plans within the PADRION project were presented.

The meeting commenced with a presentation by representatives of the LIRA Development Agency, who introduced the project’s objectives, implemented activities, and their impact to date. Particular emphasis was placed on the results achieved so far and their significance for the local community.

Stakeholders were then informed about the upcoming project activities, with a special focus on the development of a digital tool designed to connect public authorities, businesses, and citizens. The concept of the tool was presented, including its potential use cases within a joint cluster, as well as the steps undertaken so far in its development.

The proposed digital tool, titled “Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring for Citizens, Businesses, and Public Authorities,” was positively received by all participants. Stakeholders agreed that it represents a valuable and much-needed solution for the local area, noting that no similar systems currently exist in the vicinity of the planned pilot area – the City of Gospić. It was emphasized that the implementation of such a tool would mark a significant step forward in addressing the needs of various societal groups and would likely encourage its active use.

The second part of the meeting focused on the technical aspects of the tool’s development, including the selection of deployment locations, the setup of measurement stations, and the methods for presenting collected data to end users.

The meeting concluded in a positive and constructive atmosphere, with all participants expressing strong motivation for continued cooperation. It was agreed that a follow-up meeting would be organized to present further progress in the development of the tool.

Additionally, it was concluded that representatives of participating institutions would submit a list of members interested in joining the “Working Group for the Implementation of PADRION Activities.” Upon receiving the proposed members, the Director of the Development Agency will issue a formal decision on the establishment of the working group. Participation will be open to all interested stakeholders, with the possibility of expanding and updating the group’s composition over time.
